Morgan's Landing is a popular campground and boat ramp along the middle section of the Kenai River.
NOTES: Morgan's Landing has 51 campsites, each with a picnic table and fire pit. on 279 acres of public land. It can accommodate RVs up to 35' in length. It is an ADA facility, with accessible toilets and trails, including a trail to the Kenai River. The site includes other hiking trails, however campers should be aware at all times of the possibility of encountering a black bear or a brown bear. Make plenty of noise, to avoid surprising a bear at close range. The campground offers drinking water through several hand-pump wells, however in most Alaska campgrounds, it is recommended that water be filtered, boiled or otherwise treated before drinking. As with most popular campgrounds on the Kenai Peninsula, getting a campsite at Morgan's Landing can be a challenge, especially over the weekends. The campground has a seven-day stay limit and it costs $5 to park, if you are just there to fish, or park a vehicle and boat trailer.
Bing's offers excellent shore-based fishing in the Kenai River, which is particularly good during either of the two sockeye salmon runs.
