Bing's Landing is a popular campground and boat ramp along the middle section of the Kenai River.
NOTES: Bing's Landing sits just upstream from Class II-III Naptowne Rapids, and is a popular take-out for floaters making the run from lower Skilak Lake down the Kenai. Bing's has 36 campsites, which all include picnic tables. It also includes a covered picnic area for groups. There are trails in the area, however campers should be aware at all times of the possibility of encountering a black bear or a brown bear. Make plenty of noise, to avoid surprising a bear at close range. The campground offers drinking water through several hand-pump wells, however in most Alaska campgrounds, it is recommended that water be filtered, boiled or otherwise treated before drinking. As with most popular campgrounds on the Kenai Peninsula, getting a campsite at Bing's can be a challenge, especially over the weekends. The campground has a seven-day stay limit and it costs $5 to park, if you are just there to fish, or park a vehicle and boat trailer.
Bing's offers excellent shore-based fishing in the Kenai River, which is particularly good during either of the two sockeye salmon runs.
